But Do You Know My Name
Willing Vessels,
One day, I was driving home after taking my final exam at Tyler Junior College back in December; I had had a
tough year mentally, spiritually, financially, emotionally, and academically! It seemed as though everything was going wrong and I couldn't catch a break! Nevertheless, my favorite gospel artist released a new album and there was one song on that album that brought me so much comfort and reassurance. The title of the song is You Know My Name (by Tasha Cobbs-Leonard). It was a much needed reminder that God wouldn't put no more on me than I could bear. He would never neglect me, and that no matter how alone, and overwhelmed I felt; and how much I felt that he didn't understand- He knew, and He knows!
He indeed knew my name, my circumstances, how I felt, and what I could handle and so much more; and
while I was driving after acing an exam I thought I would fail.. He reminded me of that. With tears streaming down my face, I sang along with Tasha " He knows my name, Oh how he walks with me, oh how he talks with me, Oh how He tells me, that I am His own." As I sang that song with a sincere, overwhelmed, shattered heart, I could feel God's presence in my car, reassuring me and putting the pieces of my heart back together... and then He spoke to me and said, " I know your name, But do you know MY name?"
Matthew 1:21; 23 says:
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. (v23.) Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel, which means 'God is with us.""
Vessels I want to leave this gem with you : (I won't charge you for it lol)
-
Jesus is with you and He knows your name, But, do you know HIS name?
-
Do you understand what He (and His name) represents?
-
Do you recognize and know the POWER and ALL that resonates in His name?
-
Acts 4:10-12 tells us
" Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Jesus is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone . Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
Your lives will change once you get to know His name.
